Another 100 Miles in the Summer Sun

Yesterday I encountered the worst mosquitoes of my life in the unassuming town of Grass Range. They got worse throughout the evening, and by 9:30, I had taken shelter in my tent, leaving my mobile kitchen unpacked.

High-density mosquitoes.

This morning I got up around 0500, had breakfast, swatted countless mosquitoes, made 4 BLT sandwiches, and was on my bike around 0700.

My thermometer read 113°F today. I would have stopped to wait out the heat of the day, but I probably only passed 3 trees along the 103 miles of hwy 200 that I rode.

I found a good camping spot here in Jordan, MT, but it might be too hot to sleep for another few hours.

My view from the best WiFi spot in Jordan, MT.
